Time for the washing-line

I love using the washing-line, it’s a sure sign of better weather. There’s something very uplifting about seeing whites on a line blowing in the wind.  I bought large wooden clothes pegs yesterday, now all I need to do is dig through the clutter in the shed and find the line!

my mom use to put stuff out on a washing line when I was a kid.. I would help pull the line in .. the clothes smelled like clean and fresh country air..

I love to hang things out to dry, especially towels. their scratchy stiffness feels so good when you get out of the shower. I agree that seeing clothes on the line brings feelings of spring/summer.

  3. Thanks so much for dropping by my corner. I remember hanging wash on the line as a girl growing up. My mom still uses hers!

Do you know what though…? When me and my colleagues finish work and we step out into the daylight, if it’s a nice blustery day, the first thing we say to each other is…great, I can get all my bedding done this afternoon!

What we never say is…great, I can spend the afternoon on my sunlounger with my favourite book and a nice cup of fruit tea?

That would be a gross violation of the Handbook for the Dedicated Housewife.

Female conditioning, that’s what it is.
