I love you with all my heart
Last chance to pack today. I’ll be busy at the toddler group on Wednesday morning and then tidying the house in the afternoon as well as collecting the girls from school. Then off to Sunny Orlando for two whole weeks! Now I’m excited!
The two eldest have their own clothes already packed and one of the cases is by the front door!
Belle has put together a few of her dressing-up clothes, princess slippers and a tiara. I can’t wait for the moment she sees the real Belle.
So here’s a checklist for all the items I usually forget (and Hubby reminds me)
And then there’s the hand luggage! Back to 5mins for more tackling ideas…
My youngest daughter, I’ll call her ‘Belle’, asked if she could pack her favourite box of cereal to take to Disneyland. I asked her why and she said that it was just in case there was nothing for breakfast that she’d like. I explained that she needn’t bother, there would be allsorts to eat, even pancakes. She smiled and put the box away! That’s something we’re looking forward to, breakfast. The best way to start any day, especially in America!
We’ll be doing lots and lots of walking, not to mention my sponsored charity walk which I’m really looking forward to. Two hours on my own! Talking of which, the girls have gone to a party this afternoon and Spud is fast asleep. So it’s me and mi’ blogging for a while until he wakes up or Hubby comes home or the girls get back from the party.
It’s rained every day for the last few days and I’m not happy. The great spell of hot weather we had recently, led me to believe Summer was here. I haven’t been for my usual evening stroll for nearly two weeks. Must start again when we get back.
My Menu Planner Monday is brief this week! Starting from today….
And for the next two weeks………JUNK!
I still haven’t finished this book, in fact I’m really struggling with it. Maybe I’m too easily distracted, I don’t know, but I’ve been trying to read it for about two months and just can’t get into it. I’m not going to give up though, and I’ll read it, I just might have to start from the beginning again, maybe on the plane while (if) the children fall asleep!
I was going through ‘My Photos’ looking for something bright and colourful this evening. The girls had been beside me doing schoolwork and my youngest daughter (5 years old) handed me this picture . I couldn’t resist posting it here..
Yes, it’s late but I tried to sell these shoes on Ebay and no-one was interested. They are gorgeous, but just too high!
This post has come at just the right time for me. The Lazy Organiser is giving advice on how to pack.
We are off to Disneyland on Wednesday and although I have most of the washing and ironing done, packing is always the bit I find just too much to handle. Hubby could pack it all in a few minutes. Personally, I would rather the bags were laying open till the last minute before we jump into the car. My girls are so excited and now that the countdown has dropped from over 120 days to five, the butterflies are fluttering!
I thought I’d do something a little bit different this week. I’m joining in the Friday Feast.
Not just because of the cute logo, but it’s a chance for my fans to get to know me better!
Appetiser ~Name a sound you like to hear
All my children laughing together. My water feature trickling on a warm Summers evening.
Soup~ What is your favourite cheese?
I blogged about it here> Lancashire Crumbly!
Salad~ Do you sleep late on Saturday mornings? Why? Or why not?
I’d love to. I can’t remember the last time I woke up without being ‘woken’ up!
Main Course~ When was the last time you forgot something? What was it, and how long did it take to remember it?
Last night. I had a little girl over for a playdate on Monday afternoon with my youngest daughter. She’d brought a change of clothes and left her P.E. kit here. I noticed it hanging amongst the coats in a bag and had to take it to her house at 9.30pm last night because she’d need it for today. The worst part of it was, I’d just got into my p.j’s!
Fill in the blank: I notice___________when_____________
I notice how quickly my children are growing up when I look through the photographs and I don’t want them to!
5 Minutes for Mum hosts Tackle it Tuesday
The shame of it! I’m a divil for this. The wires behind the computer are so twisted and tangled, that the speakers, microphone and mouse cradle keep falling behind the desk. This doesn’t happen every now and again, it happens every day! Honest!
So today, I’m going to sort it out and use the idea Babybull gave me years ago….
~Not perfect, but at least it’s neater. I didn’t have a shoebox big enough for Babbybulls tip, so I just unplugged everything, unknotted the wires and Hubby put it all back together again. The wires are mainly underneath the bottom shelf and out of view. Now I can mop the floor properly!
Hubby will be home a little earlier than usual this week, so as from this evening he’s getting what he wants. I gave him a piece of paper and a pen, here’s what he came up with…
Monday Roast lamb and all the trimmings. Erm, Ok…
Wednesday Roast pork with all the trimmings. Huh?
Thursday Chicken Enchilladas (I hate making this)
Friday Dinner box from the Chipper (Yay)
Back here for some not so Junkie Food!
