After trying fresh meatballs on our recent trip to Las Vegas, how could I not come home and make my own?

    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1 cup parmesan cheese
    • 1lb lean minced beef
    • mixed herbs
    • garlic
    • 1/2 cup water
    • salt and pepper to taste

    For the sauce

    • 2 tins chopped tomatoes
    • small tin tomato paste
    • garlic
    • 1/2 chopped onion
    • 1 tsp oregano
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Mix ingredients together, slowly adding the water
    2. Mould the mixture into meatballs
    3. Brown the balls on each side and simmer in the sauce for 20 minutes
    4. Add to pasta (I used fresh penne)
    5. Top with parmesan

I’ve read the Da Vinci Code. It’s really good.

Also read The Kite Runner which is superb. Very moving. I heard it’s been made into a movie.

Hi hon. Did you enjoy Vegas?

The Kite Runner is one of my all time favourites. I’ve just read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author and loved it.

Meatballs look good, you’ve given me inspiration for a dinner next week.

Read the Da Vinci Code and enjoyed it more then the movie but that is the only one I have managed to read. Great ideas to put on the library checkout pile though!

That’s an interesting reading list. The only one I’ve read is the Da Vinci Code. I won’t spoil it for you by revealing any of the plot. Happy TT!

I read Da Vinci a few years ago but was not all that impressed. i have that Grisham book on my list to read. It will be interesting reading a non-fiction book by him.

Great list. I loved The DaVinci Code, but you need to be able to suspend belief and just go with the flow. An Innocent Man is amazing, hope you enjoy it as well. I’ve heard good things about the Kite Runner as well and it’s now on my list too. Happy TT!
