Bringing home the bacon…

Chef did the shopping this week. I’d never boiled bacon before, it was lovely. I boiled it for three hours, threw in the cabbage and made a creamy, buttery potato mash. I chopped some parsley and added it into a white sauce. Delish!

  7. Hi tootsie, thanks for visiting my blog!! I’m delighted to find another Irish blogger:) I love bacon and cabbage, it’s the one dish my parents always cook for me when I go home and I always have seconds!! They’re just happy to see me eating something Irish for a change;)
