My head is so full of ‘stuff’. I have a list as long as my arm starting with household ‘chores’ (being the most appropriate word for it!)
I’m feeling so overwhelmed. I have the little boy I mind full-time today, three school runs, a mountain of ironing, the Toddler Group in the morning of which I need to type up a newsletter of Summer activities while we take a break, the Residents monthly meeting later in the week of which I have somehow become Chairperson….HELP!
On top of all that, the water from the shower ran down to the lounge and some plaster has fallen off. Belle had a nosebleed and her carpet needs cleaning (any tips for blood on carpet? This doesn’t work) My cream leather sofas aren’t cream any more, our recently repainted home has many grubby little fingerprints on the ‘Antique Ivory ‘ painted walls, the dishwasher has become temperamental, the extractor fan above the oven hasn’t worked for weeks and the cupboard doors and tiles are very greasy. But, wait for the worst bit…
My cleaner has gone back to Poland!!!!
But this cheered me up!
Well, he wasn’t very happy about it at all and the haircut is on hold for another little while…
P.S. The Sheraton bathtowel is rightfully mine!
We had a great day yesterday. We packed a picnic and headed off to a lake in the next town. The children loved feeding the swans and ducks, (my eldest was nibbling on stale croissants while she thought I wasn’t looking!)
Then we went to a playground in Kildare town.
Through the Curragh Plains on the way home as the night was drawing in….
I had breakfast in bed with lots of goodies! Hubby cooked me poached eggs, low-fat sausages, spinach, parma ham, toast with low-fat margerine and a large cup of Nescafe with 1/3 tsp sugar and slimline milk. It was delicious. The girls then gave me M&S flowers in a bag, chocolate hearts and a chocolate flowerpot (can’t wait to
scoff nibble on those)
I am getting a little behind in the bedroom cleaning/tidying department. All I can think of right now, is where do I start? No.3 has decided she wants to move into No.2’s old bedroom. So she moved all her clothes and toys in there. No.2 has also put all of No.4’s toys and my ironing on the floor. It’s like a bombsite.
(I’m off to take pics, brb)
No.3’s ‘new’ bedroom
Just a little of my ironing…
No.2’s ‘new’ bedroom
No.1’s bedroom. I didn’t take ‘before’ pics, but believe me, this is the best transformation! She decided she wanted her top bunk brought down (must take the bars off!)
~Looks like I have a ‘Tackle it Weekend’.
~Back to the Lazy Organiser
We’re here in the kitchen cooking some of the party food for tomorrow night’s party. No.1 is cleaning mushrooms for the vol-au-vent filling and No.2 is looking for an apron then she will be chopping mushrooms. The vol-au-vents are rising nicely and my 2yr old son is pre-occupied with a life-size Bob the Builder (don’t ask)
The girls are loving this! It’s not often I let them cook the hot stuff, I tend to be on edge if there’s any form of heat involved.
The sherry trifle is cooling down….
I love this pic. I asked Santa for another camera because my son put my digital one in the bath! I’ve missed it so much. All those moments I’ve been unable to capture since he decided it needed a good wash!
