Thursday Thirteen~My Booklist

I’ve had most of these books on my ‘To Read’ list for ages, now. Slowly and surely, I’m getting through them!

    After trying fresh meatballs on our recent trip to Las Vegas, how could I not come home and make my own?

     

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1 cup parmesan cheese
    • 1lb lean minced beef
    • mixed herbs
    • garlic
    • 1/2 cup water
    • salt and pepper to taste

    For the sauce

    • 2 tins chopped tomatoes
    • small tin tomato paste
    • garlic
    • 1/2 chopped onion
    • 1 tsp oregano
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Directions 

    1. Mix ingredients together, slowly adding the water
    2. Mould the mixture into meatballs
    3. Brown the balls on each side and simmer in the sauce for 20 minutes
    4. Add to pasta (I used fresh penne)
    5. Top with parmesan
